The Real Tuesday Weld – One of THOSE bands that gets stuck on repeat

Sometimes you feel like you know this music from somewhere and you listen to it on and on, trying to figure out where you know it from until it becomes so familiar like it’s been with you from the beginning. The real tuesday weld is one of those bands that, if you were in highschool again, [...]

Emiliana Torrini vs. Portishead

You probably all know Emiliana who has betrayed the trip hop cause lately, but is still pretty cool. See below:

The song somehow reminds me of Portishead’s Machine Gun. Emiliana uses the guitar to create the same tension as Portishead’s drums…Women with GUNS!

Tarmac/ Louise Attaque

In 2001, due to unknown reasons, Louise Attaque split. Two of its members (singer Gaëtan Roussel and violinist Arnaud Samuel)  formed Tarmac. It is pretty obvious that they didn’t try to revolutionaise the french folk music, as their sound is Louise Attaquesque to the bone. And we thank them for that: Notre Epoque

David Lynch

I don’t know why it didn’t come as a surprise to hear that David Lynch also does music. When you have this immense power that forces you to create, you only have to find some means to put that creation into whatever form it needs to reach the world.  This time, Lynch decided to use [...]

Elsiane – Bringer back of memories

I am glad to see that I haven’t reached that stage in my life where I say: “They don’t make good music as they used to back in my days.” Elsieanne Caplett’s voice is organic, like she’s the one actually raising the hair on my body, while Stephane Sotto’s drums torture your perceptions. A wonderful hybrid. Vaporous

Ruckus Roboticus – Playing with scratches

Not since Kid Koala have I heard such a playful musician. He is just starting to get noticed, winning several music awards: Rockstar Games (Best DJ Mix 2003), Solid Steel (Best Mix 2003 & 2007), and Scion (Free-Up-Your-Mix Finalist 2005), so pay good attention to him, you might some day say: I know this guy [...]

Howie B – The undisputed truth – How it is.

This great song is a classic motown tune, that was taken by DJ Howie B in 2001 and transformed into an incredible trip-hop, downtempo piece. Loved it for years, but didn’t find it anywhere. Luckily, music blogs came to my rescue and I to the rescue of all youtubers:
