Secret Archives of the Vatican – Dubstep meets Arabian and Persian music

Last week I was put to a test: find oriental music that sounds really really good. I am not a big fan of the levantine in terms of music, so it was quite a challenge. Luckly, Last.fm came to my rescue as usually and I was able to find lots of interesting approaches to this belly moving style. Among these discoveries was Secret Archives of the Vatican. They have a long history of playing with musical influences from the far east, and they are creating what they call Transglobal Breakbeat Dub Science trying to escape the tag World Music. Their latest album, which will be available for download starting February 14th, is a nice combination of Dubstep and oriental themes. I let them explain it better here. Trust me, it’s quite interesting.
